Our Remodelers

 

-Tom Sertich-  President of Kirk Development Company is a past President and Chairman of the Board for the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Tom was Vice President and a member of the NARI board of directors for five years prior to being elected President. Tom is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Certified Remodeler (CR) with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Home Builders Remodelers Council. He was named in 2008 as one of the “Big 50” remodelors by Remodeling Magazine. In addition to Tom’s remodeling and construction experience, he was previously Vice President of Bank of America with extensive experience in the financial community.

-George Kirk- Design Associate is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) of the National Association of Home Builders, Certified Remodeler (CR) with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Home Builders Remodelers Council. George has attended National Home Builders Association and Pacific Builders Conference conventions as a panelist and instructor. He has also participated in judging national remodeling contests. In 1987, George was named as one of the “Big 50” remodelors by Remodeling Magazine.

-Barry Flemming- Designer/Estimator came to Kirk Development from his own remodeling firm of eighteen years and is a fourth generation contractor. He is also Certified through both the NAHB (CGR), and NARI (CR) making Kirk Development the only firm in the State having three employees with both certifications. Barry is also a past President and Chairman for both the local Remodelors Council & The National Association of the Remodeling Industry. His firm was a Top 500 Remodeler and Top Remodeler over his years in business. Along with his general certifications, Barry is a Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler and as such attends regular seminars to keep up with this specialized market. What this means to you, the consumer, is that  Barry can guide you through both the functional elements of kitchen & bath design along with giving you the most up to date information on products for your dream kitchen.

-Gary Tomich- Is Assistant Manager of sales for Kirk Development Company and has been with the company since 1991. Gary is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) of the National Association of Home Builders and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Home Builders Remodelers Council. Gary started right out of high school as a carpenter helper and worked as a carpenter apprentice before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Arizona State University in 1980. Prior to KDC Gary was the Lead Estimator for a structural framing and remodeling contractor.

-Fred Warren - Design Associate is a Certified Remodeler (CR) with the National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI) and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) with the National Home Builders Remodelers Council. He was owner of a remodeling company, both commercial and residential in Washington and in Arizona for more than 30 years. A graduate of the University of Washington, Washington State University and University of California, Davis for structural engineering and project management. He is a past President and Chairman of the Board for the local chapter of NARI.

-Gary Wheat- Design Associate -- received his Certified Remodeler “CR” designation from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, (NARI) in 1998 and his “CAPS” Certified Aging-in-Place-Specialist designation from the National Home Builders Remodelers Council. Gary has over 20 years experience in the remodeling industry. As prior owner of a local remodeling company, Gary received the Contractor of the Year, (COTY) award for Arizona and NARI region #7 for a project he did in 2002.

-Curt Armstrong-  Production Manager -- Curt is in charge of all in-progress projects, KDC Supervisors and field personnel. Curt, having 30 years of experience in the construction industry with 21 years owning his own firm, has a thorough understanding of both the technical aspects of construction and the personal communication required during the remodel project. Because of Curt’s vast experience, he is respected in the field and understands the clients needs and is there to help with any concerns that might arise during the remodel process.
